Old days #7 - Qube Energy Drink

Qube, not cube! Qube! Do you understand? The guys at Qube were really good-hearted, they sent a whole tray of their product. It’s not like the quantity matters, because I always passed on, gave away, or exchanged the extra cans. Apparently they didn't want to bother packing a few cans, it was easier to send 24 right away.  At the time, they had two flavors on the market, original and green apple. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a chance to taste the green apple, although one of my favorite flavors is if the recipe is good. The design and black roof cooperated well with each other, the can looked just nice. Of course, the opening tab was not forgotten either, it was also printed. Trifles that indicate good taste and care. The drink itself was simple but not boring. It was similar to many of the drinks I tasted, but it wasn’t plagiarism. It was an own recipe with special flavor notes. It was delicious at normal temperature and chill...

Old days #6 - So WOW Energy Drink

Is So WOW really So WOW? Yes, it is. The three flavors that were available at the time came straight from France. As I look at their facebook page, they supported a lot of things. Soccer and rugby teams, car racing, etc. But since 2016, they haven’t given any news about themselves. Probably it also failed. The product had a great design. It has been produced in 5 different flavors and the Original taste had several different sizes too. The only downside to me is the foil label. Well thought out and designed graphics but not printed on the can. Why? WHY? I had the good fortune to taste three of the five different flavors and was not disappointed. The basic drink wasn’t a basic, tutti-frutti-based mainstream something that can you buy everywhere for pennies. There was a twist in it that made it really nice. I didn't know what to expect from the "mythic energy", but neither before nor since have I drunk a similar, pleasant, and easily slippery d...

Old days #5 - Scheckter's Organic Energy

Organic energy drink! I was lucky enough to taste Scheckter’s Organic Energy too. For some reason, personal contact always cheered me up, so the handwritten greeting card was a very catchy and kind gesture. Thank you Sharon! Now I'm ashamed of myself. I’ve had this review for so long that I have no idea what the drink tasted like. But I can't even find a video test. I think it was a poorly made video and I didn’t even post it. I have always treated organic, bio, vegan things with reservations. I drank a lot of bad drinks that could fall into this category, but I have no negative memories of Scheckter’s.  I can't say anything but a huge thank you! https://www.facebook.com/SchecktersOrganic

Old days #4 - The Real Shit

Yes, you see it right. The Real Shit straight from Sweden! In the old days, when my English was nowhere near as good as it is now, i thought "Shit" should be taken literally. I thought it was a flick that this drink really sucks, it's really shit. Thank goodness I've evolved a lot, I get it .. it's The Real Shit! "I understood that reference!" However, they sent 5 energy drinks, plus stickers and even a cap! A cap! An embroidered, high quality baseball cap! How cool! I’ve been wearing it for months, I’ve been wearing this everywhere. I loved it, it was a treasure for me. There are also a couple of stickers left somewhere. But let's get to the point. The drink. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t outstanding either. I couldn’t even say average because it was better than this. It was a nice, tutti-frutti base drink. It’s one of the rare cases where I can’t talk about something for long. But I have to tell you, it was much better t...

Old days #3 - Nitrix Energy Drink

A very surprising pack from Brazil.  A similar story. I wanted a can of energy drink, but I got lot more. They sent me a full line of products and two gift t-shirts from Brazil. What? We are talking about a package worth $ 100. I could not believe my eyes. You are crazy! However... The energy drink was very, very delicious and special. It was an unusual recipe, I couldn’t compare it to another brand, even though I had already tasted a few hundred. And this is still true today. As special as the drink was, so are the graphics and the design. Isotonic drinks had no artificial taste, specifically a soft drink based on taste, but designed for athletes. And the funny part was the tray of energy drink candies. I've never seen a candy like this before. You ate two of it and it was like a horse kick. It was very stimulating both physically and mentally, I was very surprised at how effective it was.  I have to tell you, at graduation my...

Old days #2 - The very first review - Piston Energy Drink

The first ever. Let's get back to the roots. As a naive young man, I wrote a letter to the Australian Piston Energy Drink that they make very nice cans. I was wondering if it can be purchased in Europe as well? Of course not, it was an internal market product, but the company offered to send me a gift package so I could taste it. Needless to say, my first thought was that "nothing is free these days, I'll never have a can like this." I wasn't right. Two weeks later, the package arrived straight from Australia! I’ve never been so happy in my life with a 4 pound paper box. It contained 3 full energy drinks, a T-shirt and a greeting card. I didn't even understand what was happening. I only wanted one empty can because I liked its graphics. Instead an entire package was mailed to me from the other end of the world without request. It’s been 9 years, but to this day, I’m shivering at how happily it has filled me with such a selfless act.  First Australian c...

Old days #1 - Huck Finn

In the good old days, when weren’t even close to being professional. Huck Finn was perhaps one of the most bizarre energy drinks I have ever tasted. Maybe still have 1-2 bottles left out of it.  If I remember correctly, it was a milk-based energizing drink. I couldn’t put together a mind that now it’s good or bad or interesting and innovative. It was drinkable and I might even call it delicious, but I can’t count on myself that it’s milky and its color is similar to that.  On the other hand, it was very positive and I think it was a refreshing little thing that it was in a glass bottle and it got a great black and white design.  I don’t even know if I should rate it on a 10 point or 100 point scale. 9 points is not expressive enough, but 99 is too close to perfect.  Let the scale be 100. 92/100 Huge thanks in retrospect! https://www.facebook.com/Huckfinnworld/

Who is Zeady?

Hello World!  I'm Zeady, an energy drink and can collector from Hungary. I was born in 1995 and i've been collecting cans and hunting flavors since 2007. I was one of the first people in Hungary to start testing energy drinks on youtube 7-8 years ago. The reviews didn't have a lot of views in Hungarian, but I really enjoyed the whole process. Because of my maximalism, I don’t want to go back to youtube because I’d just be anxious about the wrong pronunciation or the bad cut, so I’d rather describe my experiences. I feel that writing is closer to me, much more expressive. I did more than fifty video reviews back in the days, the quality evolved from video to video and hopefully this can be said in written form as well. I'm full of ideas. English will be the primary language on the blog, but I can write reviews in Hungarian and even German if required. To tell you a little bit about my collection... over the years I have been able to taste a lot of drinks and...
